Runes of Magic, has officially launched in Korea. With the opening of the Item Shop, Frogster has gone live with the commercial release of its fantasy title in the motherland of online games. In the course of an intensive beta phase, the subsidiary company Frogster Asia was able to enthral a good 100,000 Korean players with the fantasy game world – with a strongly upward trend. The successful release marks the first time Frogster has carried a title over into commercial live operation in Asia and in doing so has completed its strategic entry into this important growth market, already planned since 2006.
Following the official release of Runes of Magic gold in Korea, Frogster is now, with North America, Europe and Asia, present on all three market relevant continents. “With an initial campaign that accompanied the beta phases in high profile Korean gaming media, we have just begun the roll-out ofRunes of Magic gold.
